A sweet neighbor in my building gave me a gift for moving her car while she was on vacation so that the guys painting our decks didn’t accidentally flick paint on her car. She calls me the mom of the building. As long as I don’t have to put another kid thru college, I will take that title. So nice!
I ask my Illini @caden_c_e for POL (proof of life) daily. He sent me this tonight from his 11th floor dorm room.
This is the student newspaper at UNC. These are the text messages to loved ones during the campus shooting Monday!
Daily Dollop of Daisy: she is asking her turtle toy to help flip her back over.
It first happened on the 16th/17th in my parking lot and then again between 11 am Saturday and 5 pm today on my street.
It’s a 12 year old Toyota. I have NOTHING. Stop ransacking my car and taking my change and makeup, miscellaneous items.
A police report has been filed and a neighbor across the street is looking at her camera.
Car experts: I can open my hatchback and my driver door with my fob BUT I have to manually unlock the other doors once I am inside (if I have passengers). All doors lock with my fob. So my locks don’t work but my car is always locked. Is this allowing thieves easier access? If so, how? I really don’t want to spend $ to get my locks fixed. One place told me $800.
Daily Dollop of Daisy: dog days of summer
Sissy’s room with a view: both towers, athletic field and a cool mural.
And then there were none. Papa Dinner says No More! moving kids into dorms. It has been a looonggg day! She is in and happy and we are officially empty nesters. I told him to buy me a dinner and a drink and he said he has absolutely zero dollars and the same amount of effs to give.

Lucy says, “hey what about me?!” Happy National Dog Day to you too. I am so glad that you are @caden_c_e loves you so much. He ordered me to take her for a walk, and so I did - with an hour long break at Senn to play.
